Enam Chowdhury

Chef Enam Chowdhury has spent his entire career in the upper echelon of hospitality with over 30 years of experience in luxurious hotels and restaurants in Great Britain, Thailand, South Africa, Italy and the USA. He is an acclaimed chef & maître d, and a master of cheese with a Fromateur de Fromage designation certified by the Artisanal Cheese Company and La Picholine, New York. Enam sharpened his skills locally at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, but it was the position of Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director for Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards which brought him to Northeast Texas. His cuisine ranges from Asia to Europe and the Americas. Currently the Executive Chef at The Chophouse on Bankhead in Mount Vernon, Chef Enam brings his special touch to the growing epicurean scene in Northeast Texas. Oscar Cruz

A native of San Diego, California, Chef Oscar Cruz embarked on his culinary journey at Le Cordon Blue in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2007. He completed an externship at the AAA 5 Diamond Restaurant, The Boulders Waldorf Astoria, working under Phoenix celebrity Chef Gregory Weiner. He later became the Executive Chef at Postinos Wine Cafe in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Oscar continued to hone his skills at Tonto Verde Country Club, and later at AAA 5 Diamond Restaurants, Cork and NOCA, which were both nominated for James Beard awards. In 2013, Oscar ventured out to open a food truck in Tucson, Arizona, where he served casual food with a gourmet twist.  To grow his skill set further, Oscar relocated to Texas as the Executive Chef of 24 Plates Restaurant where they won the Critics Choice Awards for Best Brunch and Best Appetizer in Forth Worth, Texas. This recognition provided him the opportunity to become the Sous Chef at Hageman Reserve in Sulphur Bluff. While that business never fully materialized, Oscar and his family fell in love with Mount Vernon and decided to stay, opening Mount Vernon Martial Arts and offering private catering and consulting. Now adding to these ventures, Oscar will also open a new restaurant in downtown Mount Vernon called El Caribe, featuring Caribbean street food and weekly specials in October 2018. Swinghouse

A jazz trio featuring Martyn Popey on guitar and bass, Maryah McHam as lead vocalist, and Mike McGowan on saxophone and keyboard. Martyn lived and studied Jazz Guitar and Classical/Jazz Bass in London for many years before relocating to East Texas where he now regularly plays solo and with big band and jazz ensembles throughout the region. Maryah is a Longview, TX native throughout the United States and internationally as part of her university choir, as lead vocalists for pop rock, country, blues and jazz bands, and has a deep respect for great female vocalists such as Rosemary Clooney, Julie London, Doris Day and Ella Fitzgerald. Mike is an accomplished sax and keyboard player, holding a master's degree in composition and theory, who taught for 33 years and is now an active performer, arranger and composer in the East Texas area.
